Level 2 Understanding Stewarding at Spectator events (QCF)Description
The Level 2 Award in Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events has been accredited by the regulators of England, Wales and Northern Ireland (Ofqual, DfES and CCEA) and is part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). It is supported by SkillsActive, the Sector Skills Council for the sport and active leisure sector.

This qualification is aimed at learners who wish to work as a steward in the Active Leisure and Learning sector. This may include sporting events, music festivals, rock and pop concerts, parades or carnivals.

Duration
This is a 5 day course.

Syllabus
Subjects covered include:

Unit 1: How stewards prepare for spectator events
Unit 2: How stewards control the entry, exit and movement of spectators at events
Unit 3: How stewards monitor crowds and respond to potential crowd problems at spectator events
Unit 4: How to respond to injuries, illnesses and other emergencies in active leisure and learning

Assessment/Certification
The qualification is assessed by the tutor throughout the course, and also completion of a candidate workbook issued by the awarding body.
