Security, Stewarding and Role Specific Training

Security, Stewarding and Role Specific TrainingThe introduction of the SIA in 2004 resulted in the majority of security staff, including Close Protection Officers, Door Supervisors, Security Guards, CCTV Operators, and Cash and Vehicle in Transit staff, having to complete a nationally recognised qualification in order to apply for an SIA Licence. Without this, it is illegal to work in these roles. EMSS have an extensive background in all areas of security and pride ourselves on the provision of quality training with real work-transferable skills. We offer public courses, and can also privately train a number of staff at your premises or at one of our centres.

Stewarding has recently been recognised as an area for development within the security and safety industry. The introduction of the Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events qualifications ensures that learners are trained in event-specific topics such as health and safety, fire awareness, traffic marshalling and much more. Many companies now request that all stewarding staff have this qualification.

Role specific training ensures that following the licence-linked qualification, staff are adequately trained in the role they are about to undertake. For example, we offer RST for person-searching, vehicle searching, equality and diversity, X-ray, metal detection and many more. We are also happy to design a bespoke course for you should any of our courses be unsuitable for your requirements.
