First Aiders

First Aiders for your eventAs a legal requirement under both the Licensing Act 2003 and Health and Safety at Work Act (HASAWA) 1974, there must be at least one trained and qualified first aider on work premises.

The number of trained first aid staff fluctuates up and down, dependent upon the audience profile and a host of other event criteria, as per guidance within the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) Event Safety Guide 1995 ("The Purple Guide") – which all impacts on your bottom line event profit.

EMSS has a large number of HSE First Aid at Work qualified staff amongst our front line personnel and close protection officers. Not only can we provide staff, but we also can provide some first aid medical facilities that may potentially negate the need for you to out-source first aid provision to more costly third parties.

However, sometimes there is no substitute for specialist third party medical/first aid resources. In full recognition of that, what you need to know is that over many years of operating successful events across the United Kingdom, we have built up excellent working relationships with well-known first aid providers. For all kinds of major public events, no task is too big for us to accommodate. We can work just as successfully with your own in-house first aid providers, as we can work alongside nationally known first aid professionals. Our command and control environment operates on a 'plug and play' basis; it integrates fully with all emergency service protocols and can be adapted to meet your first aid needs as much as when you are applying for your event licence, as well as during the event itself - keeping your customers safe. And you can relax as a promoter, knowing that this most vital of services will operate as you need it to.
