Policies

PoliciesEMSS can deliver whatever event management policy you need, all of which are designed specifically for your organisation and your event.

These days, most (if not all) relevant authorities need to see that event organisers have key policy documents in place:

  • To ensure that the event is being properly managed,
  • To have a template against which to hold event organisers to account, and
  • To be able to match 'what you said you would do' against what is 'actually taking place on the ground' when the event happens.

All our policies will be specific to your event, up to date and will take account of current best practice to ensure that you can satisfy your legal obligations, and to give relevant authority members the confidence that they can license you event knowing it fully complies with current guidance and the law of the land.

After discussing in depth your existing working practices (and if necessary following a visit to your organisation) we will link practise to national guidelines, and indicate to you those areas where we believe key changes might be needed in your operating procedures to keep you 'on track' and so avoid the many pitfalls that can trap the unwary.

All our policies have 'passed muster' time and again, despite the considerable scrutiny each has undergone by Safety Advisory Group members up and down the land. Some examples include:

  • Event Operating Schedule
  • Health and Safety Policy
  • Car Parking - Fire Regulation Policy
  • Counter Terrorism Policy
  • Alcohol Policy
  • Drugs Policy
  • Search Policy
  • Children Policy
  • Evacuation Policy
  • Emergency Action Plan (EAP) Policy
  • Bomb and Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Policy
  • SIA and Stewarding Role Descriptions
  • Fire RRO 2005 Policy
  • Crime Prevention Policy
